Hon'ble Minister Milind Deora is son of Shri Murli Deora and Smt. Hema Deora. He is among the youngest ever to enter Parliament. Elected April 2004 from Mumbai South, Reelected in May 2009 From the same constituency India's most coveted Lok Sabha constituency. Represents the Indian National Congress, world's largest and longest enduring political movement.
He is appointed as Minister of State for Communications & Information Technology, Government
of India w.e.f. 12th July, 2011. He is/ has assumed various positions including
Appointed Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology.
Nominated Member of Consultative Committee on Civil Aviation.
Member of the Indo-US Parliamentarians' Forum.
Member of the Indo-German Parliamentarians' Forum.
Milind schooled at the prestigious John Connon & Cathedral's and went to Sydenham's College before rounding off his Bachelor's in Business Administration from Boston University.
Father Murli Deora, a Businessman by profession, & MP (Rajya Sabha – Upper House) is former Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India (Cabinet Rank). His marquee name in Indian politics for over three decadesl. Mother Hema Deora is an Art Connoisseur, a Businessperson, Social Activist and a Bridge Player of international standing.
Hon'ble Minister Milind Deora founded SPARSH, an NGO, and launched programmes for
the benefit of the underprivileged people in South Mumbai.
