Shri. R. Karthikeyan

Shri R. Karthikeyan, Chief General Manager (Corporate Strategy & New Businesses) at State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, has taken over the charge w.e.f. 2nd Sep' 2011.

He joined as a Probationary Officer in 1978, and has held, with distinction, a variety of critical and challenging assignments in the Bank including an assignment at SBI's Los Angeles office. Shri Karthikeyan, before taking over as Chief General Manager (Corporate Strategy & New Businesses) was the General Manager (Payment Solutions) at Corporate Centre, Mumbai, responsible for launch and monitoring of technology based payment products in SBI.

Earlier, he was the General Manager responsible for Retail Business Development in Karnataka (India). Shri Karthikeyan has also worked as Deputy General Manager (Zonal Office) and Deputy General Manager (Small & Medium Enterprises) in Chandigarh Circle.
